The Annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) CA Teen Influencer Summit is on Saturday, November 7th. The goal is to positively impact knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors around underage drinking and impaired driving by working with our Teen Influencer Group. This year includes a video contest - students can submit a video up to 60 seconds long about why they don't drink before age 21. Our #FunFactFriday is dedicated to a local legend - Logan Cotton. Logan and his wife, Della, moved to the City of Hermosa Beach in 1925 from a farming town in Pennsylvania. He joined our Hermosa Kiwanis Club in 1928 and even served as mayor of the city in 1932. Mr. Cotton played a pivotal role in the construction of the historic Kiwanis Youth Hall on Valley Drive.... In addition to #Kiwanis, Cotton served as president and chairman of countless other service organizations - he was even a member of the organizing committee in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles!
