No Pain No Gain I have always struggled with this saying. I love when things are easy and effortless.... But sometimes life is hard Sometimes it is painful Sometimes things happen and you don’t think they will ever get better. But as time passes you begin to notice how everything always works out. And how the hardest things give you the most perspective. I’d like to encourage you today if you are struggling, if you are in a painful place, to hang in there. Keep pushing. Weight lifting is the fastest and most effective way for women to lose body fat and tone up yet very few women practice it. Here are 6 benefits of weight lifting that might just motivated you to pick up some heavy shit. Improved fat loss- when lifting weights, you build lean muscle. The more muscle you have the quicker your metabolism will be. This means that weight training helps boost your metabolism which significantly speed up fat loss when in a caloric deficit. 2. Enhance mood and reduce stress- exercise releases endorphins which improve your mood. I think Elle Woods said it best exercise gives your endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don’t shoot their husbands 3. Get strong without bulking- unlike men, women typically don’t gain size from strength training. This is due to low levels of testosterone. 4. Reduce risk of injury, back pain, and arthritis- weight training increases bone density which makes you much more sturdy and less likely to experience bone loss. 5. Improve athletic performance- being strong will improve speed, power, and agility. 6. Reduce risk of heart disease and diabetes- weight training can help improve cardiovascular health by lowering bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol. I just completed my 6-week challenge and......WOW, All the trainers at Her Body Fitness are AMAZING They are so welcoming and friendly. From the first day, I never felt intimidated or embarrassed. They make you feel so comfortable and teach you technique with patience. I just completed my 6 week challenge and not only am I happy with the results but I'm so motivated. I owe my success to Ashley and her trainers. I learned so much. I had no clue about macros and what it really meant until my challenge. Trainers not only motivate you but help you to challenge yourself. Never knew I could love high intensity workouts.
