HGB family - In accordance with the change in state mandated guidelines, we are canceling church services until further notice. Thank you for your understanding in these uncertain times. In the mean time; love one another , serve one another and pray for one another.

HGB Family: We will be resuming services at HGB, starting this Sunday, June 7th. We know you are eager to be worshipping together under the same roof and at the same time we want to keep our HGB family and guests safe and healthy when each of you decides that you are ready to worship together. During this time and for the immediate future, we will be adhering to state and local recommendations for church gatherings including the following safeguards: Face coverings will be o...ptional but encouraged, for all who attend in person. We ask all to maintain 6 ft social distancing during your visit. An usher will greet you at the door, offer you a mask/hand sanitizer. Seating will be scattered in varied family-sized groupings. Seating groups will be 6 feet apart. There will be no greeting time. There will be no coffee or doughnuts provided. Hand sanitizing stations will be placed strategically for our members and guests. Choir and Sunday School will be canceled until further notice. Loitering/Socializing before and after service will be discouraged. If you feel the need, please take your conversations outside and maintain a safe distance. (We know this one is hard) Children will remain in the care of those in their household unit and are encouraged to not interact with children of other families. No youth and children's programs will be offered. We will prop or hold doors open during peak periods when congregants/visitors are entering and exiting facilities. We will not be passing offering plates, but we will provide you with an opportunity to present your tithes and offerings in a safe manner. We want you to feel safe and comfortable when you decide you come and worship with us. We love you all and are looking forward to seeing you again (when you are ready) in our church.

Our cross is blossoming for Easter!

As promised. The Chancelaires Final Rehearsal for our Easter Cantata- Easter Story. (Important note-This was recorded a few weeks ago, just prior to social gathering cancelation measures were enforced. We grouped choir members by households and practiced social distancing during our rehearsals. Everyone who participated has been healthy since this recording) While this "style" of recording presented a challenge to the choir, The Chancelaires wanted to be able to share the story of Christ's love and sacrifice, His Resurrection story- The Easter story of hope for all mankind

In accordance with CDC guidance concerning social distancing protocols, HGB will be extending its period of closure to at least May 3rd. Unfortunately , this will mean that our Easter service and its related activities will be cancelled. As a pleasant surprise, we have 2 opportunities for you to worship in a unique way with other HGB members. The earlier this month , HGB Choir managed to record a rehearsal of what was supposed to be our Easter Sunday cantata service. (Don’...t worry, were already practicing appropriate precautions of social separation, which made for a unique recording session!) We will post that recording during Easter week. Secondly, you will have the opportunity to participate in our annual Easter cross blooming . We have placed our Easter cross on the front lawn as we normally do. During the week between Palm Sunday and Easter , please feel free to place flowers on our cross (practicing social distancing protocols , of course ) When you place your flowers, take a picture and send it to us wit a family member or you in it and we’ll post it, so that we can show the world, that we believe our Savior is Risen, indeed! Please continue to pray for one another and our essential medical workers and essential business workers for guidance, strength and wisdom. Love .. Pray... Communicate.

Do to the Covid-19 virus and for the safety of our congregation, we will be canceling Sunday Morning Services at HGB until April 5th. During this time, support one another and our communities in prayer. Continue to be kind, support and be patient to those who are struggling to get their hearts and minds around this unprecedented time and pray for your health care workers on the front lines of this event. In the coming days, we will post some worship site links here, so that you have an opportunity to worship and study the Word with your fellow Christian brothers and sisters, albeit in a more "creative" fashion. Be well, know you are loved and know that we serve a mighty God.
