Our thoughts are with all those affected by the Camp fire! Please find attached information on how to best help! Additionally, many of your orders for glasses get send out to a lab that's located in Paradise. As of right now, the lab is not sure yet, whether their building is still standing or not, but most of their employees have lost their homes. This situation may affect your frame orders, and may cause some delays. We are working hard to make sure you receive your glasses... as quickly as possible, but hope that you bear with us as we work around these unforeseen circumstances! Fall is here! Hopefully, you have taken the time to schedule an eye exam for your child, now that they are back in school. A comprehensive vision exam for your child assures that they can see clearly and properly at school, avoiding educational delays related to vision problems. We recommend that children have yearly eye exams starting at age 5!

Please note that we mistakenly posted that our Solar Eclipse Viewers can be picked up at our office for free. They are only free with ANY purchase at our office. They can be purchased individually for $2.50. Again, we're so sorry for the mistake and for not catching it sooner, and hope we will not inconvenience too many of you. Again though, please be aware that staring directly at the sun is damaging to your eyes. Do not watch the eclipse without any protection!

Henry D. Patterson Optometry Office 31.07.2020

If you plan to watch the Solar Eclipse on August 21, please do not harm your eyes by watching without proper eye protection. We have special eclipse glasses available at our practice for free! Edited: We messed up, and are sorry for the confusion. The Solar Eclipse viewers are free with ANY purchase at our office. Anyone just wanting the Viewers can purchase them for $2.50 at our office. Your vision really does change around 40. So, if you are in your 40s, and haven't had an eye exam in years, you might want to come in. You can also come in singing. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxZ8IjdpzDg

I was going to post a video from the American Optometric Association here to inform you about the importance of your yearly eye exam, but found this while looking and thought it was more entertaining. :) Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV68ChuyZlM
