The Supreme Court issued a disappointing decision this morning on U.S. v. Texas, with a 4-4 tie. This means that the injunction or hold on DAPA and expanded-DACA still remains in place. Please keep in mind that this decision does NOT affect DACA 2012. This decision also does not set precedent. Advocates will continue to push to request a rehearing from the Supreme Court to have the injunction limited only to the 5th Circuit rather than nationwide.

UPDATE ON DAPA AND EXPANDED DACA: Today, the Fifth Circuit US Court of Appeals denied the federal government's appeal of the preliminary injunction that temporarily stopped the implementation of DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents) and the expansion of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). These deferred action initiatives were announced by President Obama last November 2014. Read the full decision here.
