We’ve been on the receiving end of this scam before but not on this side. Last week, we noticed significant fraudulent activity in our accounts. While we reported it directly to the vendor and our bank, unfortunately over 1000 of pieces of mail got through. If you have received any mail from us with a check inside, do NOT give any of your information to the people contacting you about it. They’ll ask you to cash it or deposit it, and send the overage or balance their way. Then, that check will prove fraudulent, they’ll have your money, and you’ll be out hundreds or thousands of dollars. We did NOT issue this check. We did NOT send you mail. Contact your police. This is a common scam especially around this time of year when things get so busy with the holidays. #scam #scamalert #mailfraud
