Outdoor Movie Night at HEIST with our friends from the New Parkway!
Ronnie Goodman passed away on the streets of San Francisco last week. It was a tragic end to a complicated and inspiring life. Years ago, we profiled Ronnie (link in heistprojects bio), and when we asked Ronnie how people could best help those who are homeless, he told us to support @hospitalityhousesf. There are no easy answers to homelessness. But organizations like @hospitalityhousesf work year in and year out to meet people where they are with humanity and compassion. P...lease join us in supporting their mission in this profoundly challenging time: https://www.hospitalityhouse.org/in-the-house-aug-2020.html #homelessness #ronniegoodman #ronniegoodmanart #hospitalityhousesf #heistsocial #bayarea #therunner #sanfrancisco

Sympathy and outrage don’t change anything on their own. Nor will a week of protests. What can ALL of us be doing right now to compel real, meaningful change in our cities and states? Here’s a very actionable place to start. Go to 8cantwait.org and look your city up and see where you’re at on these eight common-sense measures. Then reach out to your local elected officials and tell them you demand policies obliging law enforcement to prioritize de-escalation, limit the use of aggressive holds and put in place reporting and accountability measures.#blacklivesmatter #georgefloyd #breonnataylor #8cantwait

Hello friends of HEIST. We've got a favor to ask... HEIST is looking for environmentally conscious folks (professionals, students, executives, activists, etc) to participate in a series of documentary interviews that we are filming in San Francisco on February 25th. Below, you'll find further information. We're looking for folks from all walks of life, so please by all means, forward this on to anyone you think might find it interesting. ... And if you or they are interested in hearing more, please email [email protected] and include a little bit about yourself or perhaps a link to your Linkedin profile. Thanks for your help! HEIST is producing a series of short documentary-style films featuring senior business executives, sustainability experts, activists and everyday people talking about the power that large and small businesses have to help the world avert global climate disaster. These films will be shown at conferences and in one-on-one meetings to business leaders who have already expressed a commitment to making their organizations more environmentally sustainable. The aim is to convince business leaders that true sustainability is going to require more of them than they might have thus far assumed. These films are sponsored by a large financial institution that is attempting to compel meaningful and impactful change within the global business community and particularly within the global financial community. While these films are being produced for a business client, this is not a greenwashing exercise. We are trying to foster a very candid and thoughtful conversation about sustainability and our responsibilities as business people in this time of climate crisis. We will be encouraging all participants to speak honestly and forcefully. Participants will not be asked to endorse this company in any way, shape or form. Interviews will be approximately 20-30 minutes long and will take place in San Francisco on February 25th in San Francisco. THANKS!!!!
HEIST is moving in less than 24 hours. And just like any high stakes production, this one is down to the wire. Huge thanks to all the talented tradespeople, our architects at @mediumplenty and our contractor Northern Sun. We really appreciate all the hustle.
