For your consideration- Archie 12yr old TB cross. Super personality, willing and wants to please. Suited for an intermediate rider, he is not naughty, but he is forward. Has done western at some point in his lifetime and knows neck reigning. Loves to jump, lovely movement and could make a super dressage mount. Owner will be picky about finding him the right home. Low to mid fours.

2004 15.3 JC registered mare Violet Brook. Looking for a great trail horse or a jumper? Violet loves going out on the trail, rides out alone or in a group. Has been shown at schooling and rated shows in the jumpers and is quick and witty, so she is not suitable for a beginner rider. Has been used as a brood mare in the past and is a great momma! Sweet disposition and loves getting attention. Bathes, clips, ties and UTD on everything. Located in El Dorado CA, -Thirty five hundred OBO-

We would like to congratulate our 2020 SAHJA riders. What a year we had despite all the crazy world setbacks. We are SO VERY proud of each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication. Special thanks to Abby who helped endless hours, and to the parents and grandparents who continually support! We CAN NOT wait to reach for the new goals you have set this year, and for the new members of our show team to join us! Congratulations! Kylie & Sierra Siren This was the first year Kylie moved up to a horse from her pony. She did a stellar job navigating the transition! Abby & Violet Brook When Abby wasn't busy assisting this year at shows, she was showing her quick and witty mare in the Jumpers. We hope this year we get to see you two out there showing more! We can't thank you enough for all your hard work and dedication to everyone this past year.

The problem with horse training is that society is set up to believe that you can buy a service and have things the way you want in a certain time frame. People look at horse training as if they're spending their money on a product. And yet even the best horse trainers will tell you the horse takes its own time, and no one can guarantee a horse will be doing what you want from it when you want from it. The other problem is that even if your trainer can get t done with your ho...rse, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be able to. Getting a horse right takes an amount of commitment on the owners part to develop the same type of relationship that the trainer has, otherwise how can you expect from your horse for yourself what your trainer gets, when it's they who have put in the hours, the sweat, the patience and the desire to get Along with that horse? You aren't spending money on a tune up for your car that you can take home and drive. The fact that money is involved leads people to believe they deserve something for what they paid, and they do, but, it happens in the animals time, not the humans. I think any good trainer would say they would do this for free if they could, just to help horses and people. And yet, we all have to eat. -words by Amy Skinner See more

Let your child have a bad ride. I know you want to protect them from the hardships of this world. I know you want to give them success and good experiences. I know you don't want to see them get hurt. To see them fall. To see them fail. But, hear me out, let your child have a bad ride.... Let them cry the tears of frustration. Let them shake the sand out from the inside of their riding pants. Let them face the fear building inside of them. Let them step back on again. Yes, let your child have a bad ride. Let them hate the horse that challenges them. Let them learn what fight and passion and ambition mean. Let them realize that when they refuse to quit the horse will take the time to listen. Grant them the joy of realizing that they are connecting with another living being. Grant them the joy of realizing that they, although they are small, can be powerful. Grant them the joy of seeing their hard work pay off, through the days of tears can come a love unspeakable. Yes, let your child have a bad ride. Afterall, life will grant us plenty of them. *not my words, but I loved them so much I just had to share.* written by Sarah Crouse
