What if... Everything you are going through is preparing you for what you asked for? What if... Everything you are going through is preparing you for what you asked for?

Today is National Coming Out Day! While there is often a major coming out like the first time someone tells someone they are gay or transgender or bisexual or asexual....... the reality is they are always having to choose if, who and when to come out. Everyday and every person I meet I make the choice as to how much I will say and whether it is safe for me to come out. Sometimes it is hard to remember whether I edited my past to somewhen when I didn't know them well and had not felt safe with them or if I just didn't say much. It is a weight that is always there and never goes away. To some I am very out and proud and others still think I am a cisgender, heterosexual, Christian woman. Remember coming out isn't a one time even it is a lifetime series of moments and decisions. #NationalComingOutDay

Today is the #WorldMentalHealthDay! DYK: Every 40 seconds, someone loses their life to #suicide. Let us raise awareness of the scale of suicide around the & play a role to help prevent it. We need to raise awareness about the importance of mental health education & work to end social stigma about it. Support and care can bring about a positive change. Note: Make yourself a priority. You & your feelings matter. You're loved. You're good enough. You're important. Your presence on this earth makes a difference whether you believe it or not

September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day. To make a difference we need collective action. #SuicidePrevention requires a community, requires awareness, requires understanding & requires action. Working together, we could shift the balance & save lives. (Source: International Association for Suicide Prevention) #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #WSPD #SuicidePrevention #StepCloser
