Words feel inadequate at this moment. This has been a year of exhausting challenges, profound healing, deep grief, high anxiety, cleansing laughter, wondrous beauty... maybe all or maybe none of the above. We shared a collective experience unlike anything most of us have seen in our lifetimes, while at the same time having our own thoroughly private and unique pathway through the many trials and turns. The impossibility of making sense of all the events and emotions of this y...ear is the precise reason we decided to honor it with sound. Sound gives us a window into the direct experience of the present moment. It doesn't have any opinions, it doesn't tell stories, it doesn't try to figure anything out. The figure-it-outedness of the human mind can help us feel safe and comforted, but inevitably costs us something true. Thank you, all of you, for the many true and beautiful moments of this incredible year. We have loved them all.
