By 2014 we had brought so many early stepback cabinets from the Midwest to SoCal I had worried that not many were left "in the wild" and we were partially to blame. It's been years since we've picked one up for various reasons. I had thought a stepback couldn't raise my heart rate any longer, I was wrong! This my friends, is an exemplary specimen. Square nails (1800s), dovetails, rough cut back with beveled edges, simple and natural beauty! Stop by and check it out if you happen to be trekking up the mountain to Historic Julian this weekend!
