With Anovite's launch coming up soon, more & more people will be hearing about colostrum. While this will make it easier for us to start a conversation about colostrum, it will also bring challenges b/c there are many brands of colostrum on the market. The average person can be easily confused b/c they don't know the details that separate whole food pure colostrum like Anovite from other brands. I'd like to highlight some of the other brands we may be asked about, so that ...you can easily spot the differences and be equipped to explain them. When I am asked about another brand, I go to Amazon and the company website. I have done this w/ this brand, Livestus Liposomal Colostrum. I'll highlight the major issues w/ this brand. Liposomal - means the fat has been removed and added back in as a "protective" coating - they say this new technology protects components of the colostrum from digestion and disperses it in the small intestines. This is a HUGE thing - about 70-80% of the nutrition is in the fat. They have removed it, then added some back in...WHY do that?! Colostrum does not need to bypass any part of our digestion. In fact, Anovite colostrum is put in the cheek & gum of many people for easy absorption. Milk in label ingredients - this should just say "colostrum". This one has added milk, triglycerides, lecithin and natural flavor. True colostrum does not have milk! Added natural flavor - of course they did b/c they removed the fat - so it won't taste very good without it. Pasteurized - also on the label. This is not a raw product like ours, meaning some of the nutrition has been lost due to high heat. From the Q&A section from Amazon: "Short time high temperature pasteurization to kill the bad pathogens but keeping good bacteria and integrity of the colostrum." Colostrum from healthy grass-fed cows doesn't have bad bacteria - every batch of Anovite colostrum is tested and does not need to be pasteurized. Standardized IgG - on the label is listed as an amount. This tells me the product has been standardized - it's been played with. Natural food product components ebb and flow with the seasons and years. Dr. Kleinsmith has vowed to NEVER standardize our colostrum! What we get is exactly the way God has made it at that time! Not 100% Pure colostrum & added flavor - In Q&A section on Amazon, this product says: "Our product is actually 90%-95% pure bovine colostrum. All other ingredients are to make the product liposomal, dissolve better and taste better." Hum, our product is 100% colostrum and tastes great! REAL colostrum has a great flavor, wouldn't you agree? I could go on - there are several facts in their FAQ on the website that are not accurate and they aren't the manufacturer.
