Healthy Planet, Healthy You 25.04.2021

The City of Palm Springs Office of Sustainability is a sponsor of the Environmental Education Collaborative’s 2021 Environmental Art Contest. This year’s theme is Air and Justice and submissions are being accepted now through May 15, 2021 at 9:00 p.m. All art must be related to Air or Environmental Justice, or the intersection of the two. The three contest areas are: Visual Art (2D & 3D), Literary Art (Writing) and Performance Art (Video). The contest is open to ages pre-K to adult. Prizes in the amount of $100 will be awarded to the top winner for each contest and $50 awarded to the top submissions in each age/grade category. The awards will be announced on World Environment Day on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Join us for the FREE Electronic Waste, Shredding & Recycling Event on Saturday, April 17th from 8am-12pm at City Hall. Examples of acceptable items are: computers, monitors, TV’s, phones, keyboards, printers, fax machines, batteries, microwaves, small appliances and documents for shredding! COVID protocols are mandatory for a contactless process, and please wear a mask.
