Health Bridges

Hello everyone! We’re hoping this message finds you all well as you can be. TLDR: Health Bridges would like YOU to join our townhall next Monday, August 12th at 6:00pm PST. Health Bridges is a Draper Center Program with the goal that one day patients - regardless of their language, income level, or immigration status - will have access to healthcare. Previously, Health Bridges volunteered at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and our tasks included providing language access to non-English speaking patients and enrolling uninsured patients to Medi-Cal. As the semester will be online, Health Bridges is currently in the process of developing a virtual internship for interested Health Advocates. However, we are currently in a very unique position to redesign and rethink our organizational goals and tasks. As such, we would like to open up this discussion to not only returning Health Advocates, but to interested volunteers. If you had previously wanted to take part of Health Bridges but had not been able to, we would like YOU at our meeting. Or if you’re curious on what Health Bridges is and what direction it’s heading, feel free to join as well So we invite anyone who is interested to our townhall next Monday, August 12th at 6:00pm PST.
