Commercial corn is heavily genetically modified. If you are going to eat it, it is important to get organic corn. However, the question about gluten in corn, even organic corn, is unanswered. I have had patients that needed to eliminate all grains from their diet in order to make any progress.

There is ample evidence that environmental chemicals affect the developing fetus. For example, the solvent trichloroethylene, widely used on military bases and in industry, has been shown to cause fetal heart defects if the pregnant mother is exposed to the solvent. It is not too far of a leap to consider that environmental chemicals could have effects on the brain and consequent spectral disorders. Another reason for avoiding chemicals wherever possible, and keep your liver working well so that you can eliminate them as much as possible!

Good news for those on pain...I just saw that Congress passed a new farm bill that legalizes hemp, which is the source of much of the CBD out there. That should go a long way to make CBD products legal and available across the country. Progress!
