Our HDA family is celebrating a birthday today! Happy Birthday to Javier!!
"Toxic masculinity robs society. It robs women of their safety but it robs men of their full humanity. To be human is to feel, to express creativity in all of our identities, to experience vulnerability and loss and to respond to it all"
Powerful women come of all ages. Itzel Citlali Bonilla joins the HDA team having been a survivor since she was 12 years old. Her personal experience and journey of healing led her on a path to go into law and work with restorative justice. After realizing there isn’t enough support focused on youth she was inspired by her desire to create a safe space where fellow young survivors can identify with one another. Itzel, alongside her sister, started a podcast A Journey of Healing to help others on their healing journey. #womenhistorymonth #womenempowement #women
The greatest gift that has come from years of accompaniment and vicarious suffering, is being in relationship with people who have the courage to commit to the ...grueling process of diving into their deepest wounds and finding their most beautiful and true selves. -- The only thing worse than experiencing the pain that permeated through 2020, is not searching for the unique Light that lies at the deepest level of suffering. I love to see this kind of article. So much of the suffering that we men go through our entire lives is rooted in misguided and horribly damaging messages that we start to receive almost at birth about what it means to be a man.
Sending love to all our brothers and sisters living behind the wall.
A good life is built on good relationships. I know God must really love me because She has blessed me with family and friends who continually invite me into the divinity of deep relationships. I am grateful to feel a connection so deep with so many amazing people that no concrete wall or virus can impede. Merry Christmas Fam!
Glad to hear that we are prioritizing vaccines for the most vulnerable among us. I am particularly grateful that our brothers living and working inside our Homebase facility, Lancaster State Prison, as well as our sisters out in Chowchilla will be getting some much-needed relief.
