A lot has happened this year, and the holidays just won’t be the same as usual. Due to the pandemic, our annual Christmas outreach Event has been canceled!. Many children and families will not be able to receive our support this year, so please, keep us and the children and families we serve in your prayers!!! We have gone from being more connected, to more alone than ever! We're more connected than ever before... With things like smartphones, video games, social media, streaming services, and so much more showing up in our lives daily. ... The intense level of connectivity in our world has brought us together, but has also done the opposite. It is making us smartphone, social media addicts, trend followers, and more concerned with looking happy on social than being happy in real life! We must hold on to hope. Hope is an eternal, indestructible force. Brett Elena As we approach the holiday season and the impending transition into a new year, we look to the future through the lens of hope. Through the lens that while change is necessary and work will be required, good can and does exist. And through whatever peaks and valleys await us, we will grow and move forward together.

Is not secret that our nations spiritual and moral foundation is deteriorating leaving many people without HOPE. The majority of the problems go back to the lack of competent or compassionate leadership. Nothing is more important to us than to be on the front lines developing the next generation of compassionate leaders. Haz la Diferencia (Make the Difference) has created strategical programs that focus on solid and sensible leadership development of youth. We believe that everyone plays a role in creating postive change.

Open your eyes and look around you. There are many in need. When you donate to Haz la Diferencia, you will help someone’s story keep going.

Every person deserves freedom, justice, and love. In February, Ahmaud Arbery was killed while jogging in Georgia. In March, Breonna Taylor was murdered by police in Kentucky as she slept in her bed. Last week, George Floyd was killed by police in Minnesota. All three were Black. They are the latest in a long list of people who have lost their lives because of systemic racism. We stand against racism and police brutality. We also believe it’s important to acknowledge that raci...sm and police brutality relate to mental health. Because caring about people has to include caring about things that affect people. Because every person deserves to feel safe. Fear won’t win! We understand these times can cause our anxiety to soar and our worry to grow. However, please know you are not alone. Remember to always put your mental health safety first. We’re in this together! Here are some suggestions for your and your loved ones: * Practice mindfulness using meditation apps like Calm and Headspace. Many offer free trials or discounts to start.... * Reach out to those you love by calling or texting. * Follow guidelines suggested by trustworthy sources. World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are both trusted and reliable. * Schedule regular breaks from the news and social media Some of the things you can do is: watch a favorite movie, read a book, listen to podcasts, talk to your loved ones, go out with friends, among other activities... * Look to the future with hope by holding on to the things that bring you joy. Haz La Diferencia, visited one of the shelters in Tijuana, Mexico to bring help to a group of migrant children from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico, where violence forced thousands of people to find safe harbor.
