Is it time for a garden party anyone? It looked good in July when I was there last but I reckon we could tidy up a smidge- just to keep it presentable! :)

- how is the garden growing - anybody have up to date pictures?

I just got an email from Pg+e. They want to know if any of the HHS students can organize a solarbration for the new solar panel? Any alumni or current students interested in putting on a garden day/ solar bration?

So - I have been watching from afar. The new google map picture shows the new solar array, and a ton of 'greenery' in the pathways. Anyone want to call ArborTech and ask for Dale, let him know we are ready for another massive load of chips, then ask him to sent the caterpillar over to level it- he has the keys. It looks better than ever! Keep it up- missin y'all - TH

Garden Work Day on Monday 10am. Lets get out there and enjoy the weather. Brings snacks and your green thumbs as we will be preparing for the upcoming spring season.

Congratulations to all our recent grads and University enrollees. HHS welcomes our newest freshmen class, some of which have been working in the garden since it's inception like Louis Ochoa. More power to you! Harvest time is here, winter greens planting is coming up around Thanksgiving, flower bulbs can be dug up, separated and replanted in December before the school holidays!

Calling all HHS Farmers!! Project Eat, Hayward Community Gardens, and the City of Hayward will be organizing a trip up to Santa Rosa to attend the Worlds only Heirloom Expo(Click the link for more info). we are chartering buses and will camp out in Santa Rosa.
