Pretty sure Tannat takes the prize for most beautiful.....

Hawk Watch Winery 17.10.2020

Lisa and I aren't political people. However, we have met individuals in our lives that have a good heart, and are stand up people with a true sense of community. Brian Brady is this person. Brian is running for a board appointment with the Rancho Water District. Yes, out here in Warner Springs we have a well, and aren't on city water. However if you've ever tasted our wine over the past decade, you've likely tasted grapes from Brian's vineyard; irrigated with Rancho water. We have bought their grapes in the past, and have been very pleased with the quality. Good water = good grapes. If you want to support someone that cares deeply about water quality, it's Brian. Vote for him. You won't regret it. - Mike

Today we began experimenting with CV19 compliant outdoor, seated tastings!! We haven't done any wine tastings in 4 months!! Fingers crossed this works for everyone so we can continue to offer these 2 flights going forward!! - Mike

After much discussion and consideration we have decided not to post a list of CV19 protocol compliant businesses on our website. We concluded that it would not be fair or responsible of us to post a list of compliant businesses that we are aware of while potentially excluding compliant businesses we are unaware of. Instead, we would like to strongly encourage anyone who visits a business that is diligently following the protocols to post their experience on FB. That way, we can all keep our own lists and support and patronize those businesses.

Just a bit of advice for small businesses, especially those in Riverside and San Diego countries: If you have been blessed with the privilege of re-opening your business, for God's sake be grateful and follow the mandates and protocols. Ok, yes it's inconvenient, yes it's difficult to monitor, and yes it's a royal pain in the ass, and it totally sucks. We ALL know that. But remember this: If following the mandates and protocols is just too much of a hassel and inconvenie...nce for you, and you choose to take the non-compliant approach and open your business willy nilly without following any of the protocols, especially regarding social distancing and sanitation procedures, you're a fool; a damn fool, not worthy of the priviledge(s) you've been given as an American citizen. Your self-serving, disrespect for the myriad small businesses that will be adversely affected, shut down, or destroyed because of your personal, short-sighted, unlawful agenda is disgusting. Rest assured, those business owners who wilfully choose to thumb their noses at the lawmakers at the expense and detriment of those compliant businesses will be called out. For the record, Hawk Watch Winery will NOT go quietly on this issue. One bad apple CAN spoil the whole bunch. Our primary responsibility as small businesses is to be grateful that we've been given the opportunity to re-open our business, take it serious and follow the rules. Our associate wineries in Warner Springs, Ramona, and Temecula mean a lot to us. We cherish their referrals and support, and we reciprocate without hesitation. We will always refer and suggest our guests patronize businesses we feel are operating in a legal, fair and honest way. If you're given the opportunity to re-open your small business and you are following the mandates, thank you! If you visit a small business that is following the protocols please post and mention them. We need all the positive mentions we can get during these tough times. Our heart, soul and life are in this winery, and we WILL survive and thrive. Of THAT we can be certain. Mike & Lisa See more
