Be sure to speak with your provider about the facility internet policy. Because internet access requires a whole new level of supervision that your provider may or may not have the time or skills to provide they may limit the devices that the children are permitted to bring to care with them. Tablets and even cellphones can become a means through which one child can share inappropriate content with another without the provider being aware that it is happening. Even innocent v...ideo games like Minecraft can provide an opportunity for clandestine conversations that can include inappropriate or hurtful language or statements. Communicate with your provider about what you and She or He are comfortable with as far as data or internet access. And as always talk to your children about their day, so that you can bring any concerns that you may have to your providers attention. Happy new school year everyone. We are currently providing transportation to and from the following schools, Buena Vista, Desert Willow, Desert Rose, and Ana Verde.

Make sure that you are aware of your providers illness policy. If you are fortunate enough to have a provider who will watch mildly ill children there are often rules that she/he must follow. Most states require written permission from the parent before any medicine can be given to your child. Some states also require written instructions on dosage from a doctor even for over the counter medication ( I am looking at you California). So please discuss the rules with your provider before you need care for an ill child.

When the kids have been out of school for 3 weeks and the toys are exhausted.

Tip of the day If your child has food allergies you should ask your provider to alert the other parents with children in care to the foods that your child is sensitive to. sometimes parents will send snacks and treats with their child in their bag or backpack / lunchbox that may contain a food that your child is allergic to. Because most children love to share toys and food with their friends your child could be exposed to an allergen that the provider is not even aware is present. Your provider should be able to request that parents refrain from sending foods with their children that may harm yours.

Time for back to school. dont forget to remind your little ones to never share personal items like hats and brushes. head lice are never a fun experience.
