I am so excited to announce that I am now offering self-paced (asynchronous) piano lessons and incorporating this approach into my private lessons as well! Self-paced piano lessons allow the student to progress at their own pace, while staying in constant contact with their teacher (me!) throughout the week, (rather than just one 30 minute session once a week), through videos, audio files, and messages! The student videos themselves playing and sends the file to me via the @t...onara_music app. I would then send back any corrections that need to be made or pass them on the song! Then, I would send a video of me teaching and playing the next song in the book and on we go! I didn’t think I could enjoy teaching music to children any more that I already did. Then I had a baby and my love for teaching deepened. I now understand what it’s like to be a mom and to watch my child learn new things. It’s the most exhilarating thing I’ve ever experienced and I love being a part of that with my students and their parents.
