It’s Thanksgiving distribution week at Harbor Interfaith! Our team has worked carefully and diligently to put together a drive-thru event to safely serve our clients for the holiday. Thank you to our team members, volunteers, donors, and community partners who have helped make this year’s event a safe and efficient success.

What is Harbor Interfaith doing? We house up to 44 families at a time and provide case management to help them find and secure housing. We offer hotel vouchers to get them out of their cars and off the streets. We offer childcare as well as a daytime academic support program for school-age children learning from home. We have street teams going to where they are temporarily living to help. We offer food, clothing and other support services.

We are in need of new or homemade masks for our clients. Many of you have donated hundreds, and we have been grateful, but we could use more. You can deliver them to 670 W. 9th St., San Pedro, CA 90731, between the hours of 9 to 5. Please earmark (label) your package for Martha Flecha-Raza, Family Resource Center Director. Thank you.

Success story: Formerly homeless person Manny Pires has been moved into our permanent supportive housing building in Long Beach. He'd been homeless for quite some time, and then lived in our Interim Housing facility as we got him squared away. He is now permanently housed and is much relieved.

Ready to P2P? Harbor Interfaith Services (HIS) is participating in Long Beach Gives (LBG) on September 24. LBG is an online giving day providing nonprofits an opportunity to share their stories. HIS' wants is to raise $50,000 for our Century Villages at Cabrillo (CVC) program in NW Long Beach. CVC provides dormitory-style supportive housing for up to 30 homeless individuals at a time.... Person 2 Person is a fundraising campaign through which you reach out to friends, family, colleagues, and others to raise money for HIS.
