As a supporter of the Addiction Treatment Advocacy Coalition (ATAC), Hansei Solutions is asking that you join us in the fight for enforcement of the Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act. On October 15, 2020, the California Attorney General ("AG") sent a letter to Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Health Net, and Kaiser Permanente requesting extensive data related to mental health parity and addiction equity in California. The information requested includes ...reimbursement rates for mental health providers, clinical guidelines used to determine medical necessity, provider network information, claim and preauthorization data, as well as provider contracts and credentialing requirements. The purpose of the Attorney General Xavier Becerra’s investigation is to determine the state of the payer implementation of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, as well as California laws concerning parity and addition equity.
