Nothing fancy with the framing, but my customer is a micro-owner of Authentic, who by the way won this year’s Kentucky Derby and placed second in Saturday’s Preakness! That’s some horse!

I am now also taking your framing & restoration orders, remotely by email and phone Here is how the process will work through May: Contact me by phone or email and tell me what you need. Give me the type of artwork (print, photo, canvas, digital art), the size of your artwork and framing preferences. Take a photo of your art and email or text it to me for reference.... You can also make an appointment to safely drop off your artwork curbside. Call me at the Studio between 9am-4pm (except Wednesdays) or email me any time. I will call or email you with designs and prices and send you an invoice for online payment via PayPal or Venmo. I will frame your art and arrange for curbside pickup if requested. Design choices may still be limited, and timing will take a bit longer than normal because many of my vendors are still closed or only shipping materials. Orders needed quickly will be limited to stock on hand. See more

Hi Everyone! This month I begin the slow process of reopening the Studio in a way that will keep all of us safe! During the month of May, I will limit to having only one customer in the Studio at a time. Design areas, pens, corner samples and other contact surfaces are wiped down before and after each customer appointment. Hand sanitizer & wipes will be available too. Please call ahead for an appointment between the hours of 9am to 4PM (except Wednesdays)!

Due to the recent Shelter in Place directives issued by state & local Folsom officials the Hanley Gallery will be closed until further notice. Even though I can work with proper social distancing and other health safety measures, my suppliers are also closed and as such I cannot get materials. The situation is rapidly evolving, I am carefully following guidelines and notices from the local, state and federal agencies. If my plans change, I will keep you informed as we all... continue to adapt to this current situation. While these times are unprecedented and the circumstances are fluid, I also know this is temporary. I am inspired to see people and communities come together at a safe distance! Thank you for your patience and continued support. If you have any questions for future projects, I will still be responding to inquiries thru my Contacts page. In the meantime, please take care of yourself, your families and the ones you love. Scott Hanley

My birthday present to myself this year was to finish this complicated framing piece for a WWII history buff. In addition to the signed & numbered print "Prey for Mercy" the piece includes photos of the pilots Charles Brown & Franz Stigler, artifacts of each aircraft & the pilot's unit crests. The print depicts a remarkable act of chivalry during WWII from Luftwaffe pilot Franz Stigler. The story of this remarkable event is well worth a quick read.... https://allthatsinteresting.com/franz-stigler-charlie-brown
