THREE YEARS STRONGER!!! On Saturday, April 7, 2018, we shared the new and improved Hank’s Mini Market with our old and new community + friends!!! Can you imagine a block party celebration on Florence and Crenshaw (swipe through to see all the fun we had in 2018 for our re-grand opening celebration)!!! It was an incredible gathering that brought everyone together to enjoy art, good food for all, and a new safe space that would become a bright spot the neighborhood deserved... and more. We were blown away by all the love, support, and sense of pride and belonging our neighbors and long time customers shared with us about the new space. We are truly blessed and grateful to serve our growing community. With everything going on it’s a low key day for us. However, we are looking forward to celebrating all year long in 2022 for our 25th Anniversary! Stay tuned. We truly appreciate EVERYONE that’s joined our community! It’s because of each of you we’ve made it thus far. We are excited to see all that continues to come alive in the years ahead. THANKS, THANK YOU, THANKS A LOT always and forever!

Hank’s Mini Market has been a family-owned market in South Central LA since 1997. THREE years ago on this day, April 6, 2018 we were preparing to share the new and improved HANK’S with our Hyde Park community, family, and friends old and new. This was a real life journey of: PASSION + PURPOSE = DREAMS TO REALITY coming alive. For 8 months @sweetgreen x @lagoodfood x @hnmnetwork worked with Kelli, owner of Hank’s to bring her vision of art + healthy food to her community. We... can’t thank our team enough for believing in us and our vision to bring more to our Hyde Park neighborhood. Thanks @ellynlq + sg founders for choosing us out of so many other corner stores for this huge transformation project. This was a new beginning for so many of our dreams to come true, more dreams fulfilled beyond our imagination, and three years filled with plenty of unforgettable moments with our amazing community and beyond. As soon as we get through this pandemic we will return to making more connections, experiences and moments together to add to our list of reasons our hearts are always overflowing with gratitude. Until then be kind, continue wearing your mask, social distancing, and washing your hands.

We stand proud with immense gratitude knowing history was made on October 30, 2020, in our Hyde Park community on Florence + Crenshaw in South Central Los Angeles. On this incredible day, we had the opportunity to host a Get Out The Vote for Holly J. Michell with the support of Governor Gavin Newsom, SEIU 2015 President, April Verrett! Holly has our votes ...for many reasons, one as our Governor mentioned, She gets things done! Most importantly for us at Hank’s, it’s because our family has built a strong relationship with Holly. Every time we are in the same room, she spends her time catching up with us, laughing, asking for updates on our business and our community. Gratefully, Hank’s was given the opportunity to host her and our governor in one of the most important elections of our time. This could’ve happened anywhere in the city, but our Senator and Governor gave their time to the Hyde Park community. They both stuck around longer than we ever would’ve expected. Although, that is usually what happens for many when they visit Hank’s. Ha! We could go on and on. However, our point is we know Holly J. Mitchell becoming L.A. County Supervisor will put our community in position for a brighter and healthier future for all. It’s Time! We are glad to know many have already casted their votes. However, if not make sure you vote for Holly J. Mitchell. Your time and consideration is appreciated. ***Please Read*** Today is a super special day! It’s our founder Hank’s 80th Birthday!!!!!!!! HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANK! We are blessed and grateful to celebrate such a beautiful milestone in this truly unexpected season we are all embarking on together. Hank is an amazing father, golfer, community leader, entrepreneur, and so much more to our family, community, and beyond. Our corner of the world is a little better and brighter place because of his impact and presence. We ...appreciate and love Hank so much. Thank you all for taking the time to mail birthday cards and send well wishes. It means a lot to us. We are excited to share we will be celebrating all month long @HanksMiniMarket because of the brilliant Dave and Noah from @classroomofcompassion!!! We were honored when they offered to help us celebrate with their gorgeous creative work and messages of love they offer constantly to many community gatherings, protests, and more spreading love in the midst of all we find ourselves navigating through in this complex and dynamic world. We are thrilled to have them design a magnificent floral art installation to celebrate Hank. Our dreams definitely came true. We asked for the community’s help to give Hank his flowers while he can still smell them and you all definitely showed up to make that happen. Now through the end of the month you can stop by shop, visit, and leave well wishes on our community board and/or leave a birthday card or note at the shop! This is truly an unforgettable moment and our Hank’s community getting involved means the world to us. T-HANKS, THANK YOU, THANKS A LOT for your love and support. We are truly #StrongerTogether!
