Welcome Back! School starts Monday the 11th! Good afternoon HJUHSD Students and we hope you had a good and restful Winter Break. School starts next Monday the 1...1th and whether you are in Cohorts A, B, or C, there are some important items you need to remember as you prepare to return. First of all, just like before the break, facial coverings and social distancing remain a requirement and priority the entire time you are on campus. You have all done an awesome job with this, so we just ask that you continue. For those of you who are moving from the Distance Learning Cohort C to A or B, please familiarize yourself with the rules and schedule for return. You can find our plan, schedules, safety guidelines, and procedures at www.hjuhsd.org. Below is a calendar that takes you through February. Remember, when we have a Monday holiday, the weekly cohort schedule changes a bit and we have three Monday holidays coming up in the next two months. The calendar is also on our website and sent to you on ParentSquare so you can print it. We cannot wait to see you back at school next Monday the 11th. Don't forget to be at school or logged in on time on Monday morning!

HJUHSD is excited to offer our students another dual enrollment option through COS. Starting in the 2021-22 school year sophomores, juniors and seniors can take Fashion 140 and Fashion 142 during the school day and earn college credit at the same time. These two courses will be taught in an asynchronous model with a COS instructor. Fashion 140 will be taught in the fall semester while Fashion 142 will be taught in the spring semester. Did you (or your student) graduate in 2019-2020 AND complete a CTE pathway while in high school? Then we need your feedback! We are proud to offer several qual...ity Career and Technical (CTE) classes to the students of HJUHSD. CTE students get hands-on training using current technology, as well as leadership and personal growth opportunities through student organizations. This is all made possible through grant funding received from state and federal programs. As part of our grant requirements every year we must conduct a follow-up survey with all CTE graduates who have completed a CTE pathway. Completed surveys help us maintain vital CTE funding to sustain CTE programs and provide data on how programs are doing. If you graduated in 2019-2020 AND completed a CTE pathway while in high school please complete this survey. If the student is unavailable to complete the survey we encourage the parent/guardian to do so on behalf of the student so we can gather this crucial data. Are you unsure if this applies to you?
