City Council Hearing for the Midway Pacific Highway Community Plan! Monday Sept 17th, 2PM. If you are following this page because you would like to see improved parking for our Hancock Street Neighborhood, this is what will decide our near future outcome. We are asking the City Council to support a very reasonable compromise plan, that accommodates the needs of our neighborhood businesses and will not interfere with bicycle mobility and regional bicycle connectivity. Please read the attached documents for more specifics, and if you are available, please come down and show your support.

Tomorrow we are uniting with the community to give our street the tender love and care it deserves. We'll be picking up trash, weeding, and de-gumming the road. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Please join us following the event for a picnic lunch in the Vertical Hold Rock Climbing Gym parking lot. Lunch, games, and Vertical Hold Day Passes will be provided in thanks for all your hard work . -Tools and supplies provided but you are welcome to bring your own gardening gloves and tools! -Lunch will be snacks, fruit/veggies and pizza -VH Day Passes will also be given to all volunteers

The public comment period for the South Hancock Shareway has finally started! Letters of support must be received by February 20th. Our proposal calls for added parking as well as the addition of "sharrows" to help keep our cyclists safe. Please write an original letter. Letters from a template will not have the same impact. For the body of the letter, just explain your relationship with Hancock Street, how the parking situation impacts you, and voice your support for the S...outh Hancock Shareway. Bonus points for mentioning your support for bicycle transportation, the Hancock Street Community, and anything creative and personal that you want to share.
