Perfect Salon 09.11.2020

I AM CLOSED (again)!! Dear Perfect Salon community, Hilarious because I just sent out an email saying we were open!... Yesterday the governor announced that for the next 3 weeks salons are mandated to close with a possible extension. I have closed the availability to book online for the next three weeks. Those who are booked and want to keep your appointment, please email me if you haven't already. If you would like to cancel your appointment, please do so asap, or contact me to do it for you. I won't be scheduling additional clients until I know when I will be re-opening. Once I know when I can re-open, I will open the ability to book online and reach out to you through an email announcement to get you back on the books. Please stay tuned with emails on when I will be going into the salon. It was amazing seeing everyone this last week and I am so sad that I have to close again. Please stay tuned and support me from afar! Much Love and Appreciation, Kim

I AM OPEN! YAY!!! Well Hello everyone!! Some of the great feedback that 1 received from clients last week was that their salon experience felt comfortable and like before Covid-19. What made me sigh with relief- they also said they felt safe. They could see and feel the procedures that I was taking seriously to ensure the health and safety for everyone while they are here.... I wanted to share with you the new salon procedures I am implementing to keep everyone as safe as possible and also to be able to stay open. In saying that, this is what you can expect coming back into the salon. I will be wearing a mask and disinfecting my hands before I touch a client and also beforeI touch a new surface! All clients are required to wear a mask. If you happen to forget, I have disposable masks. Please call or text when you are outside the salon and I will let you in for your appointment. When you come in I will give you hand sanitizer. I will take and log your temperature as each client will be signing in. I will then walk you over to my station. If you are a color client, I will have you change into a robe, end then drape you with a cape. Each robe, drape, and all towels are one use before being cleaned. There will not be magazines or a beverage service so please bring your own beverage. Blow-drying will only be offered if there is enough time within your appointment slot, which allows for sanitation cleaning after your appointment. Anything touched gets sanitized before and after each client and as I work. You have no idea how much you touch until you have to throw it in a basket to get it disinfected. Comical!! It's been a crazy ride getting back to being able to re-open! I miss you all so much!! From the bottom of my heart. I look forward to connecting and being a little slice of heaven for you. See you all soon!! Please reach out if you need to get on the books. I am back to regular business hours. Much Love and Appreciation, Kim

Box Color vs. Specially Formulated Kit Today there is a lot of news surrounding salons being closed and their Stylist making up kits of their client's personal formula. First of all, no salon should be open, and should not have been since mid-March. Many people are asymptomatic but can still spread this virus, mask or no mask. We can all follow the hand washing with soap for 20-30 seconds, change our clothes, leave shoes outside, sterilize our workspace and groceries.... What stops the virus in its tracks is sheltering in place. It is that simple. When you must go out, keeping a 6 ft distance between you and another person is the next best thing. Here is a quick color lesson. Color goes from black (level 1) to white - level 10. A medium brown falls around a 5 to 6 depending on the manufacturer. While this pandemic exists, sticking with an "N" series (natural) keeps you away from being a corrective color when you return to the salon. If you are a red color, emailing me is best. Keep in mind there are warm reds (orange) to cool reds (blue base) like the color of wine. You should only be touching up the roots and leaving it on around 25 minutes minimum for fine/non-resistant hair to 45 minutes for resistant hair. Do not pull it through. Almost any brand will do. If it comes out too light, go a shade darker next time. If it is too dark, go the next shade higher next time. Salons are offering "color kits" because many of them need this to help their stylists get through. If it becomes an issue for you, email me and we can figure a box color formula out together. If you need product, I can order that for you to ship to your home. Box color is almost identical to professional color, though no one wants you to know that. Coming into the salon and being pampered is nothing a box color can replace. It can also not do highlights, lowlights, deep conditioning treatments or save all the stain spots all over your bathroom. What it can do is keep you safe in your home and well, possibly alive. This virus is not a joke, and no one should be offering to do your color at this time for your own safety and theirs. Now is a great time to check out different You-Tube videos on how to color your hair, trim your bangs, etc. Remember! Hair only grows 1/2 inch a month. We can all get through this (a bit shaggier of course) but safe. I hope to each and every one of you again when it is safe to do so. You may always email, call or text me with questions or concerns. You Are Missed Due to the Shelter in Place orders, my latest update for being closed has been extended through April 30th. I hope to re-open May 1st, but the virus will tell. My books are open starting May 1st. Not all appointments are bookable online for now, only the Haircut/Blow-dry, Color, and Color/Haircut choices. This includes Highlights as well. The reason being these are longer appointments that need my full booking schedule. Shorter appointments can be made by c...alling, emailing or texting me. Clients will be seen from now on one at a time and no double booking. There will be 15 minutes allotted between appointments for cleaning. Some prices has increased to allow for the extra time needed. There will no longer be any discounted appointments due to the loses I have endured during this time, while my rent has remained due. I look to my clients for their future patronage so that I can stay in business. Stay in, Stay Healthy. Remember to think about the positive things of the day before going to sleep. Maybe it was the Zoom-time with extended family, a new Youtube video, a great book, a little backyard sunshine, walking with our furry friend. Belly breath 3 second in 6 seconds out - do it a few times. Miss every single one of you :-( Miss what I love doing so much. We will get through this too, and be better for it. Virtual Hugs! Kim

We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19; Please read! Dear Client, Today was a sad day. Two weeks ago I would not have believed I would send this email. I hope to re-open, not knowing how long this virus will last, all while I must pay my rent.... I want all of you to know you can email me with any questions or concerns. I can give you your closest formula box color to buy. I love that I am a salon suite, and can see each of you 1:1, and keep the place very sanitized between clients for the future. When I return, I will only be seeing clients 1:1 with no work-ins. There will be 15 minutes between client appointments worked into my schedule for sanitizing. This virus will get worse before it gets better. Please!!! Stay safe. Thank you for your patronage. I will miss all of you for the time being - but I hope we will reconnect stronger and smarter about this virus! Virtual hugs, Kim
