S A C R E D S P A C E Have you had any lately? I decided recently my happiness was hard core lacking from not having my own sacred space. The last year has really created an environment where space was super limited for all. My happiness and mental wellbeing was suffering big time. I had to make some drastic decisions, to save my mental health. ... I realized I had been letting other things control my space, and big decisions were in order to claim back my power over my own life and happiness. Big decisions are being made. Watch out 2021! 2019 was rough, 2020 was brutal. Now, I’m coming for you, bitches!

What should I be using on my hair? This is a question I get asked multiple times a day, and I have a lot of answers. The biggest thing I will need to know from you is what are you trying to do with your hair? Are you trying to get your natural curls styled with product and air dried? Are you trying to blow out your natural curls or waves? Are you blowing dry your straight hair? Are you trying to get waves without the use of heat (yes this is a total thing)?... Your end goal will 100% determine what I tell you to do. The hair of your dreams may only be a styling lesson away.

What is your favorite part about getting your hair done?? It’s the shampoo and the massage part, right!? The part where you feel extra pampered, huh sis!? Well don’t you worry, cause I got you covered! What if you could come into the salon between color or cut appointments, to just get pampered and feel good? ... This is where my ritual services come into play. You guys asked, and I have delivered. These are some of my favorite services to give right now. They are about taking care of yourself, they are about connecting, they are about slowing down and being present, in the moment. Plus the added benefit of scalp health and hydration for your hair. What could be better? Nothing in my opinion.

Are you a DOG MOM? My gosh it is such a rewarding job. My pup is approaching 7 months and each month comes with new stuff. He is growing up so fast. When we got him I was in one of the lockdowns and unable to work. Having him as a baby then was perfect, I could be with him so much. ... I was sure to try and be in the moment with him, and appreciate all of his seasons instead of getting upset at his silly puppy ways. I was having so much trouble focusing then, it was really perfect timing for both of us. He was my 12 pound puddle, now he is approaching 35, but always my baby he will be. I am learning so much about myself in raising him. I am so lucky I get to be his mom. I know I sound crazy, but this is just where I am at with it. Crazy Love 100%. #murphymylove

F O U N D A T I O N You wouldn’t start building a house with a shitty foundation, if you were aware of the problem, would you? Shampoo and conditioner seem like a boring step, but guys, it’s really really important to your hair health, and styling goals. ... It’s the base that you build the hair of your dreams on. It’s the first step to healthy, amazing, beautiful hair. Each time I hear it’s only shampoo I want to beg and plead that it is NOT only shampoo, it’s the base of your hair care routine! Choose wisely, all shampoo and conditioner are not made the same. I am still in love with this one!

2021 Loves Let’s infuse some positivity, intention, and traction into this year guys! It’s true, it’s felt a bit like dragging ourselves over hot coals now for a hot minute, but we can keep doing it a bit longer. It is so important to keep those around us safe and healthy. ... Three things I am doing to keep me remembering what is important are: Remembering how much I love my family, that makes me want to do whatever I need to, to see them as soon as that is a good idea. Getting creative on how to create happiness for myself, often. Continuing to try to figure out how to fill my cup living in this type of world. It’s been REALLY DIFFICULT. Dry Brittle Hair Are you feeling like winter has sucked all the moisture out of your locks? Do you know why your hair is dry? ... Is it the weather? Too much washing? The product you are using? Are you giving it a moisture boost regularly? Has it been neglected ( mine has )? Start with less shampooing (if you are shampooing more than every 3-4 days), and a moisture mask at least monthly, if not weekly. Do you have questions? Put it in the comments or shoot me a DM! Ps. Hey love, I see you. How are you? We thought this would last months, maybe. Now it’s been so, so long. I know it’s rough, but please, keep showing up. Please keep getting up, please keep shining your light, no matter how dimly you feel it’s shining. The growing pains of 2020 do not disappear with the changing of a date (unfortunately), but we can continue to be gentle with ourselves, and adapt. And we can do that as slowly as we each see fit. ... Don’t forget how strong you are. Look how far you have come! Reach out if you need anything, I am always here.
