Hi loves, hope all is well! As we all are aware Santa Clara County has officially gave salons a reopening date for July 13th. I waited so long to finally hear a date & now that we finally got one I’m so sad to announce that due to my pregnancy & advised by my Doctors care I will not be able to return to the salon before my baby arrives. I’m showing early symptoms of preeclampsia & w/ all that’s going on with this virus I would hate myself if I ever took mine & my babies goo...d health for granted. Take a seat this is gonna be a long one.. The state announced two day ago that they denied Santa Clara County the request to ease down restrictions for businesses so that they can be allowed to reopen July 13th. Therefore salons, along w/ other businesses, STILL don’t have a reopening date. After being shut down for close to 4 months, I’ve came to the realization that I’ll more than likely will not get the opportunity to be back in the salon to do what I love behind the chair... before my baby girl arrives. That is something that caused tremendous anxiety in my pregnancy until realized I needed to just be thankful I’m healthy & so is my baby inside of me. But now I’m sad again, because my salon sisters & coworkers NEED & DESERVE a date to be allowed to return to the salon now more than ever. It’s bull shit that Santa Clara has literally let all beauticians & small businesses down while other counties have allowed there’s to reopen. It’s very contradicting that the county allowed places like Santana Row/ Malls/ Restaurants to be crowded af & reopen but a salon that is built & ran w/ all the state required healthy safety measures & the priority of all guests well being can not. How freaking ironic that the moment Gavin decides to cut back restrictions in the entire state, Santa Clara, Sara Cody, decides they want to be considerate of these small businesses & dangle a potential reopening date ONLY if the state approves... They knew damn well they will deny it. Wtf are they gonna do to actually help these small businesses since clearly they can’t reopen. What are my coworkers supposed to do to continue to survive while making no income? We love our career, have fun at work, enjoy & appreciate each & every one of our guests but all of that is also our livelihood!! This whole system is so fucked up because each & every leader has a different opinion & way of running things. & while there all letting each county do whatever tf they want the pandemic keeps growing & all small businesses & stylists in Santa Clara County who want to do shit RIGHT & LEGALLY & maintain their good reputation & values is being getting the shitty ass end of the stick. @ County of Santa Clara Public Health Department

I can spend hours doing your hair in the salon & make it look amazing but the most important part of your service is YOUR own maintenance at home. ... Proper care & product is highly important!! Especially to all my blondes. Do you have the appropriate Shampoo/Conditioner ? Mask? Leave in Spray/Treatment? Serum? Brush? Hair Ties? Hot Tools? Pillow Case??... Yesss! All of these play a HUGE roll on the health of your hair. Don’t spend hours and top $$$ for amazing results in the salon if you don’t plan on up keeping your end of the bargain at home. And trust me, once you give your hair a taste of some sweet TLC you will never want to go back to cheap over the counter products again Lmk if you need help prescribing your hair with the perfect at home care products ! Hello loves, I wanted to check in and give this important message. I’m very hopeful our salon will be able to reopen soon. It has been quite a few months since we got shut down for quarantine, & I’ve been keeping a list of all who would like to be rescheduled once everything is up & running again. We still have no exact date of return but judging on the way other nearby counties are going I’m optimistic our time might be around the corner. When the time does come I ask for you to please be understanding that my hours will be very firm. I will probably be 7-8 months pregnant by then & I will try my best to secure everyone an appointment.
