Co-Ed 3s ‘Tournament’ Saturday, Dec 5, check in starts at 8:30 Pig Beach will be used. Anticipating using up to 4 courts.... Entry fee - 3 beers per person (to be consumed by your team, so get something you are willing to choke down). Sign up with a friend or solo (no 3 person entries - the secret committee will provide the third person of your team, to keep you humble) This is your chance to play competitively with your significant other, best friend, or random dickhead. Teams will be mixed gender, with at least one female or more on a team. This is to keep guys from going into jackass mode. Entries must be made by November 30. If we don’t have at least 24 entries by that time, the event is cancelled. Anyone signing up after 11/30 will be placed on the wait list. Sign up by texting Fuke at 562 537 7749, or email to [email protected] Round robin pool play, with playoff advancement determined by 1. points 2. Win/Loss 3. Head to Head. Games to 25, with a side out cap at 23. First team to 25 wins. Teams are required to rotate positions, to encourage everyone’s participation. Since no prizes are awarded, no need to become a hyper competitive whack job (until playoffs). CVBA rules (more or less). If there is a dispute, 1. play it over 2. ask the drunken crowd for input 3. rock paper scissors 4. the usual Tide pod challenge Let serves are allowed (shudder). Everyone provides their own food, drink, hand sanitizer, mask, gloves, body suit, and ventilator. NO ONE has gotten Coronavirus from playing beach volleyball outside.

I've gotten a fair amount of interest to put together a fun tournament for the mid-November time frame (Sat. 11/14), in addition to the (now) traditional 3 beers tournament. I'm proposing a co-ed 3 person tournament, where you sign up as a single or with a partner, then we would fill out your team. Before I do the work to organize this, how many of you would be interested in playing?

Check in starts at 8:30, with pool play starting at 9:15. If I don’t hear from you by 9:15, you will be scratched from the tournament and replaced. My cell - 562 537 7749 Don’t forget your food and beverages

Tentative pool assignments. Don't bother to lobby me or demand particular court assignments, as your entry may be lost as a result. Remember - check in starts at 8:30, pool play starts at 9:15. Go directly to your court when you arrive, and try to not look conspicuous, so the Covid Cops don't bust us. https://docs.google.com//1srvhJI3gIfTGhBW_zwoBKqpIFr/edit
