There is No Power released through pointing your finger I was listening to a podcast the other day Steven Furtick and this one line really hit me. There are so many Bible versus that talk about the Hand of God, how It heals people and healing power It has.... Not once does It ever mention the Finger God If you stop and think about it Pointing your finger kills, blames, judges, accuses and destroys. The hand heals, brings power, energy and love. I started thinking about my marriage. Am I using my Finger or my Hand? Blaming my Wife vs Praying for my Wife. Accusing my Wife vs loving my Wife. Judging things that she should be doing/not doing vs empowering my wife to go for her dreams. I can sayI’m Guilty of all of these. It’s so easy to get caught up in the finger pointing of Marriage but It will only lead to destroying It. Pointing the finger kills communication in marriage. And it’s not just marriage It happens in business, Am I using my finger or my hand? Placing blame on employees, clients or my marketing for my lack of Results. Or Am I using my Hand and the god given talents I have to help heal others, their families and business’s. Ask yourself these simple questions? Am I using my finger or my hand in my health? Am I pointing the finger at the trainer or coach who gave me the diet or taking responsibility for the one who is following It? Am I using my finger or my hand spiritually? Am I pointing the finger at people who did something wrong to me at church years ago or using the hand of God to forgive them? It’s crazy to think that the places we are pointing our fingers are the same places we are not happy with our results. The places where we are using our hand are the places where we are happy & healthy loving our results . If you point your finger long enough you get stuck in your own pain with no peace. When you use your hand It turns into a healing power. Life begins when you open your hand

Are you keeping the promises you make to your kids? This is the question I asked myself 2 days ago. On Sunday I took this picture of my youngest daughter Jocelyn.... She lights up my world. Always smiling and happy. As I looked at this picture, I thought about the promise I had made earlier that day to take her to the park. She loves to go the park and play. It was getting late and we where running out of daylight. I made a few statements like it’s getting late. We might not be able to make It to the park. It’s going to be dark by the time we get home. It seemed like the more I made excuses on why we couldn’t go the less she cared. She was like, Dad you promised you would take me to the park. In that moment I realized My reason’s of It gettin dark didn’t matter. My excuses of It being late didn’t matter either. She only cared about one thing. Going to the park and me keeping my promise Later that night we finally made It to the park. It was dark and no one else around. The lights didn’t even work. You know what? It didn’t matter we had fun and played for the next 45 minutes. I got into my daughters world. We played masters, follow the leader, I pushed her on thee swing and we looked at the stars. I took a brief moment and thought what if I would have just went home. I would have missed out on this opportunity to invest into my daughter. That in 10-15 years I might never have this exact same opportunity. I was reminded how important It is to keep my promises to my kids no matter how big or small I might think they are. After all if I don’t keep my word who will they learn from? Sure I can buy them whatever they want, but what they really want is to connect and for me to get into their world My Kids won’t remember what I bought them they will remember the times I kept my promises.
