It's #TrainingTipThursday straight from the puppy department! Today's topic is: Fireworks and dogs While fireworks offer a dazzling display for people, they can be unsettling to dogs. If you can hear fireworks from your home, take the opportunity to create a positive association in your puppy's mind by cheerfully celebrating the unusual noise.... Actively show the puppy it's nothing to worry about by pairing the noise with delicious kibble and fun games. Set aside some of their dinner and happily offer a piece or two with each "BOOM!" Be supportive while showing your confidence throughout the noisy celebration.
