You are welcome to come in, of course, where there will still be a few of us to help you. We may not have places for you to sit, but you are welcome to stay and chat as long as you like. Now is the time to apply 7-20-20+4% fertilizer on your lawn! You can also apply this fertilizer on shrubs and flowering plants.

It is time to apply your "Super Bowl" application of 20-5-10 Pre-M. This is the first of 4 or 5 applications to prevent crabgrass and other grassy weeds. The fertilizer will last for 10 weeks.

Don't forget to apply your pre-emergents to keep out winter weeds. 0-0-5 prevents Poa anna and other grassy weeds while Gallery prevents clover, wildcarrot, sticker weeds and other broadleaf weeds. Also, use Turf Royale (21-7-14) to keep your winter rye green through the cold.

This is the close of the best window of opportunity to plant winter rye and still get an excellent stand before the first frost. We suggest using 20-5-10 fertilizer along with the rye seed. For Bermuda lawns going dormant use 0-0-5 to prevent winter clump grass.
