We are living through unprecedented times: A global pandemic, a local mass shooting just one year ago, and the stress that both of these events bring. Managing emotional wellness can be challenging. Join us for this FREE workshop, hosted by the Gilroy Strong Resiliency Center and facilitated by Michael Morisette and Kristi Thompson from Give an Hour, to learn how to recognize the signs of emotional suffering, the healthy habits of emotional wellness, and how to create cari...ng communities of wellness. Michael is the father of Kristina Kaylee Morisette, who was one of the 12 lost in the Borderline shooting in Thousand Oaks, on November 7th, 2018. As an outreach specialist for Give an Hour, Michael advocates the message of emotional wellness and hopes to to help point people towards whatever hope and healing he could model for them in his own journey through this life changing event. This morning we had the honor of building an altar in memory of Keyla, Stephen, and Trevor. These altars celebrate and remember the three beautiful lives that were taken from us on July 28th, 2019. We invite the community to visit the altar located at the Gilroy Strong Resiliency Center. We will have special hours this Sunday from 12pm to 6pm for anyone in need of support and community. #risingtogether #GilroyStrong
