The story of GRUB CSA Farm: We wanted to own land for security reasons, financial, and most of all so we know that no one can ask us to leave. - Francine Stue...lpnagel Many farmers have reported how their CSA programs have grown during the pandemic, and GRUB is no exception. In part they've been able to expand thanks to a new property purchased with a FarmLink loan. Ultimately this is a story of vision and determination by the farm family and their community, and we are pleased to have been part of realizing their goal of secure land tenure.

GREAT article in the Chico News & Review about GRUB CSA Farm and Turkey Tail Farm. Read that part about Grub raising money via Farm to Fork meals to buy the la...nd they farm on to keep providing good for our community? We are partnering with them to have one on July 27. It's called "Salsa!!" and includes a plant scavenger hunt, Cali-Mexi meal and a salsa lesson to dance the night away. Find out more and join us! https://www.facebook.com/events/486751585446066/ Young farmers are a dying breed. We need to start shifting our perspectives to that of seeing that they here to help us and the planet thrive. What would happen if our culture started to see growing food as one of the most important callings on the planet? https://www.newsreview.com//small-farms-big-chall/content

Sunday JUNE 2nd is 3 weeks away... Our first farm to table dinner... get your tickets on Event Bright or the Market. We are working with The Butte County Local food Network. Here is deal: we are finally going to buy our farm in two years!!! We need to save a chunk for a down payment. Its so exciting and this is why we are starting to raise some extra money. And because its going to be fun to share the farm with the community!... What got me into farming in the beginning is was the only solution oriented career/ life I could think of. One that fed and didn't steal from the earth and her people... as time passes I see that as a solid truth.. and I feel stronger about the importance of healthy local chemical free food. The Menu is going to fantastic Shredded chicken with creamy pesto sauce., or veggie option Of Walnut and mushroom loaf Steam New potatoes. Cesar salad. Zucchini noodles. On the tables we will have sweet hibiscus tea & picked carrots and beets and there will be a popcorn station. The dinner comes with one beer or wine of mixed drink .I think I will have mojitos too.
