Our Chamber is working with our Lakewood City partners in advocating for our local businesses that have been hit hard by the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are currently tracking important legislation and advocating for our members to avoid further negative financial impacts and taxation. Please stay safe, shop local and stay Lakewood strong. -Brad Crihfield... Chairman, Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce #LakewoodStrong

The Lakewood City Council has declared April as Donate Life Month. More than 113,000 individuals nationwide and more than 21,000 in California are currently on the national organ transplant waiting list. On average, 20 people die each day while waiting, due to the shortage of donated organs. Anyone can sign up to be a donor, and over 15 million Californians have already registered to ensure their wishes to be organ and tissue donors are honored. You can join the donor registr...y at https://register.donatelifecalifornia.org/register. Check to see if you’ve signed up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor by looking for the pink dot on your California driver’s license or state ID card. As many of you know Kidz Town Indoor Playground has been closed due to Covid-19 since early March. Although they have not been operating their costs have persisted. Rent is still due and their financial stability in jeopardy. From the time he opened Kidz Town, Jon Byun has always supported our local community events, donated to local charity and been a proud member of the Lakewood Chamber. In order to survive and hold hope for a Kidz Town resurrection, Jon and his wife Ha...ley have decided to repurpose Kidz Town party rooms. KT Clothing is now open, their prices are competitive and your patronage is the last hope for this lakewood Indoor Playground to ever open its doors again. Please concider shopping at KT Clothing, share this post on social media, spread the word and lets rally our Lakewood Strong community to save a business that has brought so many smiles to the kids of Lakewood. #savekidztown #shopkt #lakewoodstrong #covidcheckin Have a business that needs support? Tag them below and let us know who and we will concider them for the next Chamber Covid Check-In -Brad Crihfield Chairman of the Board
Our Chamber knows how difficult these times have been for our local businesses. As businesses start to open up and adapt to our new realities, we as a Chamber want to share with the community the innovative efforts by our local business owners and entrepeneurs. This week board Chair Brad Crihfield stoped by Urgent Care Pros to put the Test to the test! They have the 15 minutes rapid Covid test and it is fast and accurate. President of Urgent Care Pros, Dr. Terry O'Neil expl...ains how his business conducts a socially distant, safe envoirnment for patients to be tested. It is our hope that many businesses like Urgent Care Pros continue to innovate, recreate, and adapt to the new enviornment usining the entrepeneurial spirit to not only survive in the new economic climate, but to thrive for many years to come. Do you know a business that would be good to spotlight on our new series? Tag them in the comment section below and we will concider them for the next installment of Covid Chamber Check-In! #Lakewoodstrong
