The Greater Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has partnered with many nonprofit and foundational efforts to support small businesses throughout our region during this pandemic. Locally, we have also designated commissions in every local jurisdiction to mirror our parent organization (the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce) in their work to address the needs of small businesses by acting as the voice for locally owned businesses during this time of great need. A...s a part of our effort, we have partnered with the Santa Barbara Better Together effort to inform our businesses of the grant opportunities available them within our region and how to apply for these grants. Our plan is to give small businesses an orientation of how to apply for these grants and inform them of the various steps there are to successfully complete the grant applications. Once a business has attended an orientation, members of the chamber will gain assistance from our volunteer effort to collect all of the necessary documents to apply and submit their applications properly with one-on-one sessions until the deadline for each grant cycle (Wednesday October 21, 2020). We thank our local jurisdictions for their partnership with this effort and all that they have done to support small businesses during this historic time and encourage all small businesses to attend virtually or in person. YOU MAY ALSO VISIT THE WEBSITE OF THE SANTA BARBARA FOUNDATION TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THESE GRANT OPPORTUNITIES AND GET PREPARED TO APPLY AT: https://www.sbfoundation.org/covid-19-business-community-r/ See more
