Like many of you, we have spent the past week processing emotions and trying to make sense of what is happening across the country. Despite all the varied opinions and reporting, it is critical to remember that the vast majority of protesters are peaceful and are demonstrating to create much needed social change. The senseless deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and too many others simply cannot be tolerated, and those who demonstrate peacefully against this... type of injustice are committed to positive results and must be supported. The work of social and racial progress is long and difficult and we absolutely can all come together to help create a better and more just society. Our country is being torn apart by systemic racism and has suffered far too many instances of social injustice. As a country, as a village, and as individuals, we can do better to help out. We must do better. The black community needs support. They need our support. Black lives matter. Granville has always fostered a culture of diversity and inclusivity, and we remain committed to doing our part to advance this ideal in our restaurants, in our communities, and in our business relationships.
