Another important topic being researched this year for the PYP Exhibition Project is global warming. 5th grader, Eddie and Sra. Sandra took a break from their Spring Break to interview marine biologist Luján Villabriga, the director of the educational program at GLOBAL PENGUIN SOCIETY (GPS). Luján lives in Puerto Madryn, Argentina and works directly taking care of the penguins in Patagonia, including Magellanic penguins. Eduardo was able to interview her in Spanish and English for his research project. Eddie practiced his Spanish and Luján practiced her English. Thank you to his mentor, our Spanish teacher Sra. On Friday our Preschool, PreK and JK students had a colorful celebration. Holi is a popular ancient Hindu festival, also known as the "festival of love", the "festival of colors", and the "festival of spring". Thank you to Leslie at Wild at Heart Horse Rescue for spending time with our 5th grade group yesterday. We braved the wind and cold to see how she cares for the horses and provides a loving place for them while they wait for their forever home. Our group got some important information for their research project and look forward to visiting all of the horses again. #pypexhibitionproject #5thgrade #horserescue

Our Preschool students did an egg-cellent job making predictions in class. Miss Jennifer put an egg in vinegar and asked them to predict what will happen. Will it explode? Hatch? Float? Sink? Turn Blue? Get fuzzy? We'll have to wait and see. #preschool #science #ibworldschool
