One of our latest ground mounted installs in Orangevale, CA This is a 7.28kW (DC) PV system using REC Solar 280 watt modules.
Doing a big job using Solar World 285 Watt modules. They are produced in the US, (AZ I believe nice to see a German CO doing the production here in the US) They are really a very nice and well made module, Also using Solar Edge Inverters, Makes a really nice module, well made and very reliable. ) Will post pictures and updates on the install.
Pleased to note that the White House is going to install a solar electric system. Hope that later occupants do not remove the solar system like they did with the solar domestic water heating system.
California Solar Electric systems broke a total generation record today Aug 07, 2013 at 12:30 PM of 2,495 MW !
Impressed with the amount of micro inverters that have come on the market at Intersolar USA in San Francisco last month. Many of them are included and sold only on modules, making them I" AC Modules" some of them however are available for use on any module. I believe these will be taking a large part in the residential and small commercial installations.
InterSolar in SF, new inverters, both micro and reg, with SMA having one that without batteries, still makes power in outage. Modules everywhere, but less than last year.
US has reached a milestone of 10 GigaWatts of solar electric power installed! So proud to see such a number. Thanks fof the info Solar Buzz
Last year, Utility customers in CA installed 391 MW of solar electricity! Hand to the Customers and to hte Utilities.
US installed 723 MW of Photovoltaics in the First Quarter of 2013. Pretty Impressive!
30 MW or Solar PV installed to the Grid in the US in April! Think of a MW per day.
US Military is really putting a lot of PV on their structures, plan another five MW of installs.
Price of PV (Solar Electric) has gone down 99.2 % since 1971 and another 20 % in 2012. Never thought that would happen, but am so pleased.
Wind Power is producing nearly twice the out put of Nuclear in Windy California, particularly this month!
