I’ve been quiet on my social media postings recently but it’s been anything but quiet at the studios. We are producing a nearly 1200 multi-phase cutting board order for our friends at TJ Maxx Home Goods. We are working around the clock to meet our deadlines, and as a strictly handmade business, logistics and precision are everything, especially when dealing with a big box customer that’s used to filling orders in a jiffy. It’s our 3rd year of working with them and I couldn’t ...be more proud of how we can keep up with the demanding schedule we impose on ourselves. In addition to our Epilog laser (the workhorse of our studio) we added a Glowforge recently, which will give us additional lasering power and also allow us to try some new fun stuff (when we have time again!). . here: Austin boards on deck, boards being prepped, engraved, packed and shipped. The first batch of 300 is already on its way to stores now. The next two batches are in progress . You will find these limited edition boards in the Artisan/Local section at Home Goods stores. Get them while you can! . A special shout out to my amazing parents without whom I could not take on orders like this. My Dad actually manages the engraving on our Epilog in the middle of his hectic work day, after my Mom leaves to come to work at the Los Gatos studio. He keeps us on schedule and on track - unbelievable! I can’t even do justice to write about my Mom - I literally (read: absolutely) could not have accomplished even an iota of what Gooseberry does, without her. She is my rock and the reason I can even consider taking on as much as we do. Thank you both for everything (understatement of the century). .
