Episode 29: God Restored Her Life I've told this story many times. One day, a middle aged lady came to my church. She came to our church and listened to the wor...d. There was another pastor who shared the word with her individually. Then after coming to my church for about ten days, this lady came to believe that her sins were forgiven by the blood of the cross. From then on this lady began to change. One day, I was walking through the church. From behind she called out to me, "Pastor! Pastor!" I looked back. She said, "come and listen to what I have to say. You have to listen to what I have to say." I sat down and I spoke with her. She graduated from an engineering school majoring in architecture. She was a great architect. She had a lifelong wish. In her lifetime, she wanted to build a world-renowned piece of building, a masterpiece of construction. So she studied very hard at architecture and she got a job at a big architect company. She made money and she worked. She continued her architectural studies. One time, her company was building a building. From morning till evening the construction workers would do all the work. By evening all of the construction workers would go home. Then, in the evening she would have to come with the blueprints and measure the building to see if it was being built properly. She went with her supervisor, a male. It was the two of them only and they were coming down the building from the eighth floor to the seventh floor, etc. They went floor by floor, examining the measurements. But right then, the man, suddenly, hugged her from behind. But there was nobody else in the building. She was raped. She was so enraged. She would grit her teeth. She wanted to report it to the police. But she thought about how people would react to hear what happened to her. She didn't want that and she didn't know what to do. Then a few months passed. She felt something strange in her body. She thought, "No way, is this possible?" She never imagined that she would get pregnant. But she had gotten pregnant through this. She felt so enraged and wronged and there was nothing she could do. So without telling anyone, she quit her job. She learned how to give perms and curls, and she began to work at a little beauty salon, making just a little bit of money every day. Then, the baby was born. It was a boy. Before that, she thought about getting an abortion many times. But each time, it felt as though the baby knew and the baby would pound in her womb. She would stay home crying. "I cannot kill my son so I could live a better life." So she had her son. She was living a very poor and difficult life. But then around that time, one man approached her. He was so nice to her. He would say to her, "Why do you live so much difficulty? There's a way, you could live happily. Why do you live so poor?" She just ignored him. But then, she was so thankful to him. One day, they were eating lunch together. The man so sincerely said that to her. "Ma'am, why do you live in so much difficulty?" She said, "What should I do then?" He asked her, "Do you have any money?" She asked, "Why?" He said, "Invest in my company. I'll give you a lot of dividends." She was so thankful to him. So she put down her house as collateral and took out a big loan. She gave it to him, and he did the math. He told her on the fifth of each month, she'll get dividends into her bank account. But he was a bad man. The next day, he took that money and ran away to another country. This woman was so tormented. From that day, she couldn't fall asleep that night. All kinds of thoughts would come to her whenever she couldn't sleep. "Why do only miserable things happen to me?" She tried so hard to sleep, but she couldn't sleep. At most, she would get 30 minutes of sleep at night or 20 minutes of sleep a night. She couldn't sleep at night. Her body began to change. At first, she weighed only 60 kilos. She became 70 kilos, 80 kilos, 90 kilos, and 100 kilograms. Even when she looked at herself, it broke her heart. There was no way for her to pay that money back. So she took her son to her parent's house. She wanted to commit suicide. She wanted to slit her artery and she tried to slit the artery. She was bleeding and she was dying. But that day, her father came over. He could tell that the door was locked within. He broke the door and went into the house. He saw his daughter dying. He rushed into the hospital and saved her life. But instead of cutting the artery, she cut her nerves. Her left hand became useless. There was no way for her to live. So she went to a shopping mall. She told her story to a manager there and asked for a job. Her left hand is useless, what job could he give to her? But the manager thought about it for a while. "In the shopping mall, there are a lot of empty boxes." He gave her the job of collapsing empty boxes. Her job was to collapse the boxes and stack them to the side. Her life became very poor and difficult. Then, she was coming to my church for one week. She listened to the word and she realized that all of her sins were washed. This lady came to me, "Pastor! Pastor, please listen to me. Pastor!" She was so happy. She said she went home and I went to sleep. She says she got 2 hours of sleep. She only gets 20-30 minutes a night, now she's getting 2 hours. She was so happy. It became 3 hours, 4 hours, and these days she gets 7 hours of sleep. She is so happy. One time, she came to me and said. "Pastor, I lost 10 kilograms of weight." Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference but she was so happy. One day she came to me and she said, "Pastor, please listen to what I'm saying. I was sleeping, and my left hand hurt so bad, I was crying. Then the next day, I went to the hospital. The doctor was shocked. He said that my nerves were reattached. I could use my hand again!" But one day, she had a little bundle of money so she went to the bank to pay a portion of the loan back and the officer there was in shock. He told her, "Ma'am, come with me." They went to the 4th floor where the branch manager was. The officer explained "She owes our bank this much money, but she is unable to pay it. When I visited her house she lived very very poor. But look, she brought this much money here today." The bank manager listened and said to her, "Ma'am, thank you. The money you have brought was only 10 tenth of the money you owe to us. But with this, your debt is done." She didn't do anything else in front of God. She too had sins. But she accepted the fact that her sins were washed away by the blood of Jesus. "All we like sheep have gone astray, everyone turned to his own way and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Before that, there was only what she did. But what Jesus did to her was. All the sins were laid upon Jesus, they were washed away at the cross. From then on, she began to smile in her heart. Her son has grown into a great man. He takes care of her.
