Every woman needs to make sure their B6 intake is on point . B6 is involved in over 100 chemical reactions in the body involved in your metabolism, immune health, brain health and HPA axis, etc.... Women from 19-50 need at least 1.3mg daily. You can find this vital nutrient in the following foods: Chickpeas, beef liver, salmon, avocado, chicken breast, potatoes, turkey, banana, grass fed beef, bulgur. Keep in mind if you are vegan or vegetarian, you may have to supplement since plant sources of the Nutrient are less bioavailable. If you are under a lot of stress you may also need additional supplementation. Chat with your practitioner about what specific dose would be right for you. #anxietysupport #anxietyhelp #pmdd #pmddwarriors #hormonehealth #hormone #hormones #anxiety #anxietyrelief #pmddawareness #stress #hormonesupport #pmddsupport #womenshealth #hormonebalance #hormones #pms #anxietyrelief #anxietysupport #anxietyawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellness #brainfood #moodboost #goodmoodfood #mentalhealthawareness #moodswings #pmsproblems #pmsing

Common nutrient deficiencies can be the root cause of so many symptoms! I often wonder how many of us are put on medications to cover up certain symptoms (like depression, mood swings, PMS/PMDD, etc.), when for many people it can come down to replacing key nutrients! I know it sounds too good to be true, but I've seen incredible transformations with a personalized approach here (including with myself!).... My hope is that we learn to cover these bases first before reaching for the prescription pad. Already taking a multi-vitamin and it didn't help? You likely need to focus on dietary sources first and foremost. Are probably burning through these nutrients very fast because of stress, Inflammation, adrenal issues, etc. Maybe need higher doses of specific nutrients in specific forms because of your genetics. You may need to pay attention to the balance of your supplementation- ie: not overdoing it on zinc since it can interfere with copper absorption or calcium since it interferes with iron. This is why talking to an expert is typically the best route. 3 mood boosting supplements for PMDD to ask your practitioner about- 1. SAMe- an amino acid important for it's function in methylation. Powerful anti-depressant and also helpful in the treatment of anxiety. May take 1-2 months to notice the full effects for some people.... 2. Vitex: has been shown to outperform anti-depressants in the PMDD population, can help increase progesterone and relieve symptoms of estrogen dominance. 3. St. John's Wort- a very well studied calming and mood boosting supplement and has been studied with PMS specifically. In these studies it was shown to be as effective (if not more so) than antidepressants with no side effects. Taking anti-depressants already? Talk with your practitioner before weaning off or adding additional herbal support. Also inquire about any other potential drug interactions and dosing that is right for you. #anxietysupport #anxietyhelp #pmdd #pmddwarriors #hormonehealth #hormone #hormones #anxiety #anxietyrelief #pmddawareness #stress #hormonesupport #pmddsupport #womenshealth #hormonebalance #hormones #pms #anxietyrelief #anxietysupport #anxietyawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellness #brainfood #moodboost #goodmoodfood #mentalhealthawareness #moodswings #pmsproblems #pmsing

PMDD is actually diagnosed by your symptoms, but these are some of the labs that could give us insight to the root cause(s) of PMDD and can help us design an effective treatment plan. It also allows us to rule out other conditions that may be causing similar symptoms. ... Complete thyroid panel, especially if you are experiencing specific symptoms. You need thyroid hormone to make adequate progesterone (it's all connected). Women with low thyroid can experience anxiety and depression, fatigue, brain fog, etc. DUTCH hormone test: this comprehensive look at your hormones helps us understand how your hormones like cortisol, progesterone, estrogen, testosterone are being produced, metabolized and detoxified. This gives us a better idea of the full picture of your hormone health beyond a single serum level, especially with PMDD. Also keep in mind that if you got hormone testing done and everything looks normal- there is a difference between "normal" and optimal ranges. Blood sugar labs- A1c, fasting glucose and insulin-your blood sugar is the foundation of healthy hormones! GI Map- helps us understand underlying sources of inflammation that might be messing with your hormones and also evaluates the last phase of estrogen detox. This can also give us an idea why the hormone fluctuations throughout your cycle are so hard to tolerate, even if your levels are considered normal. Not all tests will be appropriate for everyone, but getting the right testing can be a key part of a root cause approach to treatment. #anxietysupport #anxietyhelp #pmdd #pmddwarriors #hormonehealth #hormone #hormones #anxiety #anxietyrelief #pmddawareness #stress #hormonesupport #pmddsupport #womenshealth #hormonebalance #hormones #pms #anxietyrelief #anxietysupport #anxietyawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellness #brainfood #moodboost #goodmoodfood #mentalhealthawareness #moodswings #pmsproblems #pmsing

A day with balanced blood sugar is a day feeling energized, calm and focused. Let’s talk through important elements for a keeping your sugars balanced- Keep in mind this is best case/ideal world scenario, it’s ok if your day doesn’t go exactly like this but rather choose one thing to start with and start building it into your day.... 1 Start your day off with your favorite morning ritual for YOU. That could be meditation, breathwork, journaling, etc. 2 Within 1 hr of waking enjoy a high fat/protein breakfast in a calm environment (that means having good stuff pre-prepped so you have time to relax and enjoy-I know, easier said than done some days) 3 Consume your caffeine in moderation after food. Try matcha green tea or adaptogen coffee for bonus points. 4 Part attention to hunger and fullness throughout the day, snack if needed (something with complex carb and fat/protein). 5 Actually take a break for lunch and focus on your food-no multitasking at your desk here. 6 Eat a balanced dinner with appropriate fiber, complex carb, fat and protein, take a walk after if time of year permits (move your walk to after lunch if it’s too dark in the evening). #adrenalsupport #adrenalfatigue #adrenals #adrenal #adrenalfatiguerecovery #inflammation #bloodsugarcontrol #cortisol #bloodsugarbalance #carbs #carbsarelife #carbbalance #hpaaxis #adaptogens #selfcaredaily #hormonehealth #hormonebalance #hormoneimbalance #hormones #hormone #hormonenutrition #hormonenutritionist #stressrelief #stressmanagement #stressfree #anxietyrelief #anxietyrelief #anxietysupport #anxietyrecovery #anxietynutrition
