Good Earth learned today that a staff member at our Mill Valley location has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member last worked in the store on Monday, April 27th, and briefly visited the store on Thursday, April 30th. We are in contact with this staff member, and will continue to check in on their health and wellbeing in the coming days. We will also provide compensation to the staff member for the time they are recovering and self-isolating. The staff member will no...t return to work until guidance from public health officials allows it. We have notified all Good Earth employees that a staff member has tested positive, and our Personnel team is in direct contact with those who may have worked with the staff member in Mill Valley. Current guidelines from Marin County Environmental Health Services do not indicate that any additional Good Earth staff members need to self-isolate, unless they are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19. We’ve asked all Good Earth staff members to monitor their symptoms, and to stay home and seek guidance from a healthcare professional if they feel at all ill. Ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers is our top priority, and Good Earth is following all recommended guidelines and protocols from the California Department of Public Health, Marin Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Our stores undergo a rigorous, daily cleaning and sanitation process, and we have enhanced our cleaning procedures in light of the COVID-19 situation. Out of an abundance of caution, our Mill Valley store will also be deep cleaned tonight (Friday, May 1st) in partnership with a 3rd party cleaning agency. The Mill Valley store will open at the usual time on Saturday, May 2nd.
