October is Breast Cancer awareness month. This year's event by Mark Twain Medical Center is (you guessed it) virtual. https://www.dignityhealth.org//stepping-up-for-womens-heat

The Amador Fire Safe Council has a $10,000 grant to assist low income elderly people do some fire safe work around their homes. They are working with Chris and the Senior Center to solicit individuals who need grants. They will be accepting applications (available at the Senior Center) through Oct and beginning the work in Nov. Each grant will be no more than $1,000 (not a lot of money available) and the work will be done by CHIPS.
