On behalf of the Members and Officers of Golden Lotus I would like to expression my extreme gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Robert Maiolo, Frater PFDV, for all of his tireless work and sacrifice in leading Golden Lotus Lodge for the past six years. ... This last half decade have not been easy either for him of for the lodge, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic raging. Through it all Robert was a grounded, calm, and steady leader who was able to objectively tackle problems as they arose and delegate tasks where needed. His knowledge of the workings of the Order, the works of Crowley and especially LIber AL, and his IT expertise have proven invaluble to keeping Golden Lotus running. He is a focused and passionate magickal practitioner and we look forward to the time when we can once again have him fill the role of Priest in a celebration of The Gnostic Mass in our temple. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. I wanted to share some exciting and important news with our friends and members. After serving as the Master of Golden Lotus Lodge for five years, I am stepping down from this office effective immediately. This has been in the planning stages for quite some time.... I never sought out to be a body master, being a bit of an introvert, somewhat private and a little shy. Serving as Body Master broke all that for me. I have met and worked with some awesome people during that time. I consider myself fortunate to have had officers that remained fairly consistent through all that time. I am passing Mastership to Frater Silencio, our (now former) Deputy Master. He is, most likely, the only other member to have attended nearly all of our events over all these years other than myself. He has my full confidence and support in taking over the reigns. Please give him the same trust and respect (perhaps even a bit more) as you have given me. To all who showed their love, support and believed in me, especially when I refused to believe in myself, thank you all so much! To those who participated in, and contributed to being part of our community, my utmost thanks. If nothing else, I wanted to build space for a community where we share ideas and experiences with the fullest respect and care for each other. I will be taking a bit of a break to catch my breath, but I will be around now and then and hope to see you all again very soon in the flesh! Love is the law, love under will.
