Our first open house and introduction to rowing for people with spinal cord injury was a success!! Thank you to our participants, volunteers, and coaches for making it a great event... and for making the learning/teaching process a lot of fun! Also thank you to NorCal SCI, Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP), Center for Independent Living - Berkeley and our Physical Therapy friends for helping to spread the word about our event. We’ll be in touch when we schedule the next one!!

BIAC is kicking off our adaptive program for those with spinal cord injuries (SCI) with open house events to introduce potential new rowers to our adaptive coaches and the boathouse. For this event, you can work 1-on-1 with a coach on an erg and learn how to adapt it to your individual abilities. For those interested in rowing on the water, you will be able to ask questions about the boats, equipment, and BIAC’s adaptive programs. ...
