Routine, routine, routine! 2021 I’m focusing on creating small but impactful habits! Thanks to @holistic.w.kristen + in the middle of reading Atomic Habits (in my amazon shop) 3 things that I’ve added to my routine + am loving! -Phone free for the first 60 minutes I’m awake (yesterday I did 120 minutes and hung out with Brandon) ... -So much CBD + aromatherapy. I love scents, good smells make me happy! Using Serenity @cosmedix_ on my wrist and neck to help set the tone for the day and also at night. As well as @sajewellness @leahlaniskincare essential oils. -Massage. Facial massage, gua sha, dry brushing, reflexology + of course cold rolling. I’m doing it all to get the lymph system moving + my skin glowing. This has not been overnight but me-slowly(without adding pressure to myself) adding these rituals into my routine. After talking, observing and receiving so many facials in my life/career I can say that not all esthetician’s are created equal and the BEST l, who have always stood out to me -are the hands on esty’s. No more messing with your phone, leaving the room or picking at your own face while your client is masking, you know who you are. This is a time to continue to WOO your client. Looking back to remind myself how I’ve come, looking forward knowing it’s just the beginning. 2006 Went to esthetician school 2011 rented my first room + started my biz 2012 opened my first Spa... 2013 started an IG (cuz I guess that’s what a biz should do) 2017 moved spa locations, Got married, went on our honeymoon and had one of those ah ha moments.... 2018 booked a photoshoot with @lexgallegos who had cold emailed me and decided to put all my energy into growing my following (at the time I had about 2000 followers) 2019 Business is thriving, I grow my team, launch new products and prepare for the biz to thrive even more! 2020 Been forced to shut down 4 times now with no end in site here in CA, Let go of my entire team, moved locations, twice, restructured my entire business, cried, laughed, prayed, launched new products and most importantly said my thanks every day - put myself, first even when it’s been hard 2021 I’m ready for you. @skin.andthe.city will launch and from there I’ll let the wind take me + enjoy the ride Life isn’t always easy and neither is being a business owner. I think so many time we talk about all the positive things in our biz or career but it’s important to acknowledge the struggles + mistakes.
