Happy Birthday to New York Yankee & our Global Baseball Adventures coach/inspirational speaker Edwar Ramirez! Edwar has been a part of our Dominican Republic baseball/service trips since Day 1 and we’re so honored to call him a friend! Edwar’s story of walking 10 miles to the nearest baseball field in the DR as a child to being on the 2009 World Series winning Yankees is a story that should be heard by all! Edwar, we can’t wait to see you in June 2022 when we make our return... to the Dominican Republic! credit: Mark Dean Photography

So excited to see Jake Buxton starting his college baseball career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo! Jake joined us in the Dominican Republic on our very first summer baseball/service trip after his freshmen year of high school! Jake was the first American pitcher to ever step foot on the mound in the small town of Fantino where he pitched 7 amazing innings, the locals still speak of that performance after all these years! Not only did Jake make a big impression on the mound, but all of the local kids loved Jake’s fun loving spirit! Keep up the great work Jake, we’re so excited to see our GBA athletes shine in the next chapter of their academic/baseball lives!

Springs is running up on us which means baseball is right around the corner! With health conditions improving, we’re excited to begin planning our return to the DR in June of 2022 should health conditions continue to improve! credit: Mark Dean Photography

We’re thrilled to announce that the Detroit Tigers have signed another one of our Dominican Republic friends to an MLB contract: 16 year old short stop Jensy De Leon! Jensy was a part of our 2018 & 2019 Dominican Republic baseball/service trip where he played against our high school ball players from California as a 14 & 15 year old! Tom Moore (Tiger’s Director of International Operations) has been quoted as saying that Jensy has Really good bat speed. Launches the ball all... over the place with good balance at the plate We’re wishing Jensy nothing but the best as he makes his way to The Show! credit: Mark Dean Photography
